In Ramadan 2022, we decided to host a charity event for those 17+. The event was a fasted football tournament in Leicester, open to all religions to compete in a sport, but unify for 1 charitable purpose..

The men and women taking part had raised £10k for Gaza in Palestine.
The winners of the 5-a-side football tournament in Leicester was the team named La Familia. In second place was Simple Ballers. In 3rd place was Class on Grass.
We had a total of 12 teams from the men’s side and 4 teams for the women’s side. It started off with group stages and went on from quarter finals to the finals and third place playoffs.
The event had taken part throughout the majority afternoon and the 2 rules were simple:
– Each individual had to be fasting (NO food or water at least during the event)
– Remember the main cause is for charity, so as competitive as it gets, we need to be on our best attitudes and solidify our unity amongst ourselves.
