May we strive to keep our intentions as pure as the water we enjoy for iftar, and our actions sweet like the dates we break our fast with. #ramadan #muftimenk #muslim #muslimtiktokvideo #muslimtiktok #islamic_video #islam #deendaily #muslimfrance #islamicaccounts #iftar #taraweeh #sabr #ramadan2023

FAQs about this campaign & fasting

Participants are asked to disclose any dietary requirements or health considerations to the person who invited you to take part. Fasting is not recommended for individuals where it could pose a health risk.

As part of the campaign concept, the Muslim participant who invited you covers the cost of the iftar, reflecting the spirit of generosity associated with Ramadan.

Iftar can take place:

  • At the Muslim participant’s home

  • At a local restaurant or café

  • At a mosque or public space

Participants are encouraged to choose public venues if either party feels more comfortable with that.

  • Muslim participants who are comfortable inviting a non-Muslim to experience a day of fasting with them

  • Non-Muslim participants (18+) who are curious, open-minded, and willing to try fasting for a day and join a friend or colleague for a meal to break the fast

‘Iftaar’s On Me!’ is an initiative that motivates a Muslim participant to invite a non-Muslim friend, colleague, neighbour, or business associate to fast with them on any chosen day in Ramadhan, and then share an iftar (the meal eaten after sunset during Ramadan to break the fast) together. The aim is to build understanding and connection through this shared experience.

Participants are encouraged to try the full fast, but health and wellbeing come first. Non-Muslims are free to opt out at any point during the day if they feel unwell or uncomfortable.

Only with agreed consent by yourself & the host. Participants have the choice whether or not they wish to engage in any videos or written content surrounding this initiative. The most ideal scenario is an anonymous testimonial about your experience fasting.
