23 enthusiastic individuals trained & fundraised for 1 of 2 amazing causes.

The group travelled from the UK to Sarajevo, Bosnia to take part in a 5K or half marathon!

Alongside their half marathon, the group took a cable cart up Mount Trabevic, a stroll through Mostar and battled the rapids down the Naretva River (The coldest river in the world) in white water rafting!

They also got to connect with the people of Bosnia & Herzogovina, learning about their history with a trip to Srebrenica and local Islamic Relief Projects benefiting the late 90’s genocide survivors.

A team of resilient and compassionate runners with Waves of Positivity took on the Sarajevo Half Challenge…Ā a run rooted in remembrance, unity, and genuine purpose.

This challenge wasn’t just about distance. It was about honouring the strength of Bosnia’s genocide survivors and standing in unwavering solidarity with Palestine during their ongoing struggle.

Every step held meaning. Every mile carried a message of support, dignity, and hope for communities who continue to rebuild their lives.

Together, we ran not for medals, but for humanity.
